Magical Sunday at the Toy Museum
“Dunno what to do, I’m bored…. “… During this winter season, what about responding to this familiar refrain by visiting Poissy’s Toy Museum? Toys of the past and the present, looking as if they have fallen out of Father Christmas’s basket, will light up your children’s eyes until Jérôme, the magician, whisks your children off into a breath-taking show! And off we go!
A showcase of the 14th century
First of all, there is the location, a magnificent, timeless building in which the museum is nestled and where there are nearly a thousand toys – from Granny’s teddy bear to the youngest little girl’s Barbie doll, through lead soldiers and some of Dad’s electric train sets – snug in their display case, sharing the secret hope of making your little ones dream and of awakening your inner child.
When objects play tricks on us!
Then there is Jérôme, the magician who has been given free rein. He will captivate your children for an enchanting hour. They begin by watching but then take part in some magic tricks. Just look at them, so proud of being the magician’s assistant! The show presents a series of tricks using objects from everyday life and mysterious objects taken out of the magician’s bag.
Children will of course be amazed and dazzled but there is no doubt that you will also be carried away by Jérôme’s sparkling wit and dexterity, immersing you back in your best childhood memories for a moment.
The wonder continues in the attic
Jérôme dreamed of becoming a magician from the age of 6 and perhaps he would have enjoyed being able to practise magic tricks on the interactive hub in the attic or to explore the contents of the conjuror’s box? We therefore follow in his footsteps on the second floor. Endless fantasy is guaranteed on every floor!
